Why Does My Pocket Depth Matter?
Another leading indicator of some form of periodontal disease is the presence of blood after minor to moderate probing of your gums, flossing of your teeth, or brushing your teeth. The combination of pocket depth and presence of blood are typically strong indicators of some form of periodontal disease.
Common symptoms of some form of periodontal disease are sore gums, presence of blood in the mouth, or chronic bad breadth. If you would like to schedule a comprehensive periodontal dental evaluation, consider looking for a Colorado Springs Dental & Specialty Practice that has both a general dentist and periodontist on staff to help assess your situation. Call All Smiles Dental Group in Colorado Springs at 719-599-0665 to schedule your appointment today.

“Stimulus Plan For Your Smile?”
How All Smiles Dental Group is taking action during hard economic times to help you stop feeling embarrassed or pained when you smile.
By Douglas Peak D.D.S.,
All Smiles Dental Group - Colorado Springs
I am about to tell you a true story. If you believe me you will be well rewarded. If you don’t believe me, I will make it worth your while to change your mind. Let me explain.
Just the other day, a distressed woman named Andrea came to see me at the dental office. Andrea, broke her front tooth off at the gum line. Ouch! Prior to the accident I could tell she had a beautiful smile. Unfortunately, now she had a significant gap in the center of teeth when she smiled.
Can you relate to Andrea?
Andrea was in pain and embarrassed with her smile. Plus, money was tight for Andrea. She is a mother of two children and her husband is in the Army.
My primary goal was to give her options to replace her missing tooth with a permanent solution that looked good, felt good, and lasted a long time. I knew a single tooth dental implant was the best solution and I told her so. However, it was also the most costly solution. So I gave Andrea two alternatives that were less aesthetically appealing and less functional… but they were cheaper.
What would you do?
I told Andrea to avoid taking the less expensive option until she met with Dr. Brently Grimard, All Smiles Dental Group’s Periodonist. He received his license as a general dentist after four years of training and afterwards went to graduate school for an additional 3 years of training to be board certified as a Periodontist. Dr. Grimard has published papers in the Journal of Periodontology and has placed literally hundreds of implants in his career. I wanted Andrea to listen to what Dr. Brently Grimard had to say.
She listened!
Dr. Grimard analyzed her x-rays to verify she had adequate bone structure and reviewed her smile. He spoke with her about the tradeoffs between the less costly solutions and the optimal solution – a single tooth dental implant. As I expected, after their discussion she was convinced; she wanted the dental implant solution. But there was still one issue outstanding…
Too Expensive?
Then, of course there’s the expense. There’s no getting around it, cosmetic dentistry is not cheap. However, if you choose our office, you do not have to go broke to get that “smile” you’ve always wanted. We accept most insurance plans and have many different payment options. We work with our patients to make sure they get the highest quality of care despite cost.
You want to know the bottom-line real truth? The truth is, it was probably going to be more expensive for Andrea not to have a wonderful smile with the help of a dental implant. She didn’t have to a face of a movie star or the body of a bikini model..but…if she didn’t smile because she was ashamed of her teeth, I believe the overall financial cost to her would have been (during the lifetime of her career)… …considerable. Indeed, Andrea decided to get the dental implant solution to replace her missing tooth.
Very Easy To Get Started
Here’s what to do: You call us to set up an appointment at 1-719-484-8459. On the first visit, one of our general and cosmetic dentists will take x-rays of your teeth and ask you what your goals are. For Andrea, her goals were to have teeth that look good, feel good, and last a long time. After doing this, we’ll show and explain all the options available that can help give you the smile or comfort you’re looking for.
All this will take about 45-60 minutes. Based upon your options and level of interest, we will set up a 2nd appointment for you to meet with Dr. Brently Grimard to see if dental implants are an option for you to replace a missing tooth or to permanently fix your dentures from being loose. And…
It Only Costs A Lousy $19!
The entire evaluation! At the end of the evaluation, one of the general dentists and Dr. Grimard will explain the work you need, show you how it is going to look, tell you how much it will cost and … Brandi, Amber, or Judy will explain all the easy ways you can handle the expense. Then if you decide to go ahead, or if we can get it done right there, we can begin treatment. But YOU decide at your own pace.
No Selling! No Pressure!
Our goal is to give you the greatest dental experience you’ve ever had, so you can’t help but tell all your friends and family about us! All you have to do is call.

Your Insurance Benefits For 2009 Are About To Expire!
Dear Friends,
I know your busy, but I don’t want you to miss out on this!
Here’s the story: your insurance company provides you with annual benefits on a use-it-or-lose-it basis. Which means for most people, you will lose your yearly benefits on December 31st or January 31st if you use United Concordia. Unfortunately, the insurance company will keep the premiums that you paid regardless!
Why this is important: obviously as your Dentist, I need to get you in here every 6 months. It’s the oath I took when I became a Doctor. So, here I am to be your friendly “dental parent” to get you back in and make sure that we solve any dental problems you may have or give you the healthy and gorgeous smile for your entire life.
Also, we want to help you by finishing any needed dental treatment that the doctors have already diagnosed. If it makes things easier, we can help arrange financing the remainder interest-free.
To ensure that we can get your work done by the end of the year and not have your benefits go to waste, please call to schedule an appointment soon. Call 719-484-8457 today!
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Brandi Vohs,
Administrative Team Leader
